How does Standard mode work?

Standard is the default scoring mode in Hey Quiz. The principle is simple:
  • Correct answer = points
  • Faster answer = more points
  • Wrong answer = 0 points (no penalties)

Point calculation

Formula

Points depend on:
  1. Base question value (e.g., 1000 pts)
  2. Response time relative to the limit
  3. Answer correctness

Example

Question with 30-second limit and 1000-point value:
Response timePoints
5 seconds~950 pts
15 seconds~750 pts
25 seconds~550 pts
30 seconds~500 pts
Wrong answer0 pts
Exact values depend on the algorithm, but the principle is constant: faster = more.
