Overview

Generating from topic lets you create a quiz by describing in words what it should be about. AI will analyze your description and create appropriate questions.

How to generate a quiz?

Go to generation

In dashboard, click “New quiz” → “Generate with AI”.

Choose method

Click “From topic”.

Describe the topic

Enter your quiz topic description.

Configure parameters

Set number of questions, types, difficulty.

Click Generate

Wait for results (usually 30-60 seconds).

Review and edit

Check questions, edit if needed.

Save quiz

Give it a name and save.

Good descriptions

Precise and specific:
World War II history, with particular focus on
the Battle of Stalingrad and D-Day operation.
High school level.

Python programming basics: variables, loops,
conditions. For beginners.

Human anatomy - circulatory system. For medical
students, 2nd year.

Poor descriptions

Too general or unclear:

Tips

The more context, the better:
  • Specify difficulty level (elementary, high school, college)
  • Point to specific topics
  • Define target audience

Choose how many questions AI should generate:

Question types

Select which types AI should include:
  • Single choice - most popular type
  • Multiple choice - more than one correct answer
  • True/False - simple statements
  • Ordering - arrange in order
If you select multiple types, AI will distribute questions proportionally.

Generation process

  1. Topic analysis - AI analyzes your description
  2. Knowledge retrieval - AI recalls information about the topic
  3. Question creation - Generating questions and answers
  4. Validation - Checking format correctness
  5. Presentation - Displaying results

Generation time

  • 5-10 questions: ~30 seconds
  • 15-20 questions: ~45 seconds
  • 25+ questions: ~60+ seconds
Time depends on AI server load and selected model.

After generation

Question review

Each generated question can be:
  • Edited - change content, answers
  • Deleted - if it doesn’t fit
  • Type changed - e.g., from single to multiple choice
  • Time adjusted - change time limit

Verification

Always check:
  • Whether answers are factually correct
  • Whether questions are unambiguous
  • Whether language is correct
  • Whether difficulty level is appropriate

Adding questions

After generation you can:
  • Generate more questions (additional)
  • Manually add your own questions
  • Remove unnecessary ones

  • AI servers may be overloaded
  • Try again in a moment
  • Reduce number of questions
  • Add more details to topic description
  • Specify difficulty level more precisely
  • Try a different AI model (if you have your own key)
  • Check internet connection
  • Refresh page and try again
  • Check if limit wasn’t exceeded
  • AI can make mistakes - manually correct
  • Verify facts from reliable sources
  • Always check before running quiz
